Project Description
When we met with this client, the number one goal was handling the massive amount of water gathering from the beautiful craftsman bungalow, the detached carriage house, and massive driveway. We decided that a mix of useful dry streambed for driveway surface runoff and an underground infrastructure of French drain for roof downspouts bringing the water to the large rain garden basin would be the most attractive way of handling the storm water and keeping it onsite. Located on a busy street in Meridian-Kessler, we were keen on this garden being beautiful year round with interest for all seasons.
In the backyard, a beautiful meditative labyrinth was installed with a wood burning fire pit in the center. A native shade plant enclosure as well as a paver patio extension wrapped up the first phase of this newly renovated house’s full landscape makeover.
